David was president of the Beverly Hills Bar Association in 1991-92, after serving in all other officer and Board capacities. He served as president of its Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the bar, 1996-2000. Other interests of his were to serve as editor-in-chief of the Beverly Hills Bar ]ournal, a scholarly publication, for 5 years in the 1980s, and Chairman of the Resolutions Committee. Previously, David served on the Board of the Los Angeles SPCA for 10 years, and as its president for the last 6 of those years. He has participated in many other professional and charitable efforts and activities over the past years. |

David Shacter is an estate planning attorney in private practice in West Los Angeles. He devotes his efforts to the field of living trusts, wills and probate. He received his B.A. from the University of Toronto, and his law degree from Southwestern University, Los Angeles.
